Community - Giving Back

The Universal Group

At The Universal Group we encourage our employees to get involved in their communities, to volunteer at their children’s schools, give to local charitable organizations, and to spend time with their families. Beyond the daily rush of operating a successful and thriving business, it is important for everyone on the team to recognize that there are often difficulties in the larger community around us, and people that need help. Employees at The Universal Group understand the value and the necessity of “paying it forward.” Here are some examples of our employees in action in their local communities:

“We are participating in the Maple Shade, New Jersey cleanup day this Saturday October 15, with the Cub Scouts, my boys are in scouts.” – Kimberly Hosgood, Graphic Artist

“The CROP Walk of Moorestown, New Jersey occurs annually each May and we participate as a family, it’s a fundraiser and a walk-a-thon and raises money to combat hunger both locally and globally.” – Annik Smith, President

“I’m active in my church, St. Katherine of Siena, in Philadelphia, and I donate so the Stewardship Committee at church has the funds it needs to support activities and especially help local children in need.” – Donna Felici, Purchasing Manager

“My wife and I support Philabundance, which is a Philadelphia charitable organization combating hunger. This is a local organization serving nine counties around Philadelphia.” – Rick Shinefeld, Regional Sales Manger
